![]() ![]() The glitches were terrible and it ran pretty bad. ![]() I'm working on a full review.īefore the major updates, I'd say it wasn't worth it. I just finished a playthrough on the Switch. There are some cutbacks, but performs surprisingly well (though I havent played it on PC/XB-one or next gen consoles, so I dont include those in my decision) TLDR: imo the switch version is the best version. I did loose maybe 30 min of progress in below zero, but that was due to me not frequently saving. I'm not sure of my total playtime, but I played through the first and maybe 75% of below zero (got distracted by other games) and had 1 crash in each game the whole time. While I would like better textures (they're not even that bad really) I have no regrets getting it for switch. Frame drops did occasionally happen (and each person's tolerance to this is different) but wasnt frequent or bad enough for me to get bothered by it. ![]() In motion, it's not too noticable, but if you stop and stare at things, it can feel pretty flat.Īpart from that, I had 0 issues. The graphics have been toned down quite a bit. I only finished it because I enjoyed the game so much, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Save bugs were terrible, I lost over 12 hours of progress, twice. I played on base PS4 years ago, and while it did look good, I found that the area ahead of me was always slow to load (especially in a seamoth), and would frequently be caught in terrain as it loaded, which then would either kill me or my vehicles would get stuck, and I would have to make a new one. ![]()
